The course is managed and maintained by a team of volunteers from within the membership who give their time freely to support the club and to keep the course in the best condition. There’s a role for everyone and if you are interested in joining the club and getting involved, this is a great way to meet people and to make the most of Thistle Hill.
Measuring at 5,172 yards from the white tees, Thistle Hill offers a par 70 challenge that demands both accuracy off the tee and finesse around the greens. The layout incorporates a variety of doglegs, bunkers, and hazards strategically placed to keep golfers on their toes. Visitors are welcome but must either be with a Member, or be playing in one of the open events.
The greatest strength of this course is that it is great for new golfers to gain experience and confidence before tackling more established courses in the region, for youngsters to begin their journey and being a flat course it’s ideal for those who just want to keep on playing in their twilight years without having to climb mountains.
